The story

La Guelaguetza 2021 marked the beginning of Oaxaca en Utah's public festival tradition in Kaysville after an earlier gathering among seven families

The 2021 celebration created a public place for Oaxacan families to share culture through movement, clothing, music, food, and the spirit of Guelaguetza.

A later founder interview reported approximately 550 attendees. The original Facebook event, independent profiles, community posts, and organization-approved media document this first public year; attendance is presented as organization-reported rather than independently verified.
